Jennifer Shaffer

Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations at IMC Logistics

In her role, Jennifer oversees the company’s digital and event marketing and public relations. With over 18 years in the marketing and PR field, Jennifer has developed her skills to include digital marketing, managing media relations, social media, managing customer communications, and event design and execution. Jennifer’s passion for the logistics industry started when she began her career at a global third-party logistics company. In this role, she created the Marketing and Sales Support Department where she standardized brand and marketing materials, oversaw website development, created customer communications, and established a media relations strategy. Jennifer is a graduate from Murray State University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communications.

Jim GillisJim Gillis

Pacific Region President at IMC Logistics

Jim Gillis serves as the Pacific Region President at IMC Logistics, with his career in drayage spanning several critical hubs, including the Gulf and Pacific. Jim is known in the industry as the authority on California's dynamic market and regulatory landscape, making him the expert in logistics and supply chain within the state. Jim's forward-thinking strategy for sustainability and his blended approach to integrating both electric and hydrogen semi-truck technology is leading IMC toward a greener and more renewable future as a drayage carrier. Under his direction, the Pacific Region of IMC has grown to be the largest drayage provider in the state with over 500 trucks in the fleet in California servicing the West Coast, including the largest fleet of hydrogen trucks in the United States. IMC has operations in every major railhead and seaport in the US.

Emily PhillipsEmily Phillips

Principal & Founder of E.MISSION Advisory

Emily Phillips is the Principal & Founder of E.MISSION Advisory, a consulting firm focused on sustainability in the transportation sector. She acts as a fractional resource developing decarbonization strategy and sustainable transportation solutions for third party logistics providers.

Emily’s background in logistics and supply chain spans over two decades of leadership with industry-leading retail and logistics companies including XPO, The Home Depot and UPS. At XPO she pioneered the Sustainability Committee while leading solutions engineering and implementation for the Last Mile business unit.   

Emily is a passionate advocate for sustainable solutions in transportation. She is the President of the National Home Delivery Association (NHDA) and is the co-chair of their Sustainability Council.  She is also active in the Atlanta Roundtable of CSCMP (Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals), a member of the Freight Advisory Task Force for the Atlanta Regional Commission, a member of the Transportation Marketing & Sales Association (TMSA) and an advisor for the EV Class 8 startup Nevoya.
