About the Speaker
Robert Bain
Strongest Man in Logistics
Meet Robert Bain, otherwise known as the “Strongest Man in Logistics”. Bain has nearly 20 years of experience in the transportation industry—from leadership and employee management to business processes and technology. As GLCS’ Senior Consultant, Bain is responsible for developing the organization’s 3PL and intermediary clients. With a strong presence in the industry, Bain uses his voice and position to share about GLCS’s services and often appears on industry podcasts, including GLCS’ “The Driving Forward” podcast. In addition, Bain is the Director of Broker Relations on the Board of Directors for the Broker Carrier Summit, which aims to transform the relationship between carriers and brokers, fostering mutually beneficial partnerships.
Bain's journey in transportation encompasses diverse roles, including his tenure as Fleet Manager/Dispatcher at CRST Van Expedited, overseeing a vast fleet and driver network. Subsequently, he ascended to the role of General Manager at VP Express, orchestrating seamless operational strategies. His path led him to UberFreight, managing enterprise accounts, and ultimately leading him to a Director of Operations role at QuadExpress.
In 2020, Bain founded Strongest Man in Logistics Enterprises, a title inspired by his pursuit of personal strength and love for sports, as well as his deep knowledge of logistics. As a frequent co-host and guest on podcasts, Bain provides insight into the transportation and supply chain industries, and shares his expertise on operations, leadership, and personal branding. He is motivated by collaborating with others in the industry and sharing what he sees occurring to help others grow.

Meet the Moderator
Gary Cornelius
VP of Business Development
Gary is the VP of Business Development of TCW, Inc., leading their Sales, Marketing, and customer-facing teams. He has 37 years of experience in transportation and logistics, including leadership roles in both Sales & Operations. Gary has been with TCW for 18 years, with his current tenure starting in 2013.
Gary serves as the co-Chair of TMSA’s Education Committee and is on the TMSA Board of Directors. He also does philanthropic work through The American Cancer Society, including advocacy, Relay for Life, and publicly speaks throughout the Southeast for the Society.
When not working or volunteering, Gary spends time with family at the lake, traveling and kayak fishing.
